Supporting Bicycling at Georgia Tech

Incident Report Form

April 3, 2013 | 2 Comments

The BIIC has, in partnership with Stamps Health Center, decided to make available an Incident Report Form, to encourage cyclists to tell us about incidents they experience around campus. Please feel free to report accidents, harassment, collisions, or anything else you feel is important for us to know about to make cycling safer at Georgia Tech.

**Note: please report only incidents occurring on or near the Tech campus

  1. Hey,

I am doing project with some classmates for my Psych 2270 class, engineering psychology where we are looking into bike and pedestrian safety around campus. I was wondering if there is any way you could send me the data from these incident reports or give me access to the form answers through a link or something. The data would be extremely helpful in redesigning/adding possible bike paths and trying to improve safety around campus.

    Thanks,
    Anthony

    • Hi Anthony,
While you project is likely completed, I wanted to thank you for considering the needs of cyclists and pedestrians on campus! Similar, more comprehensive incident reports are available from the Georgia Tech Police Department, and they like helping with student projects. Ask for Randy Ory, their analyst. Also keep an eye out for the new Bicycling Master Plan, which will be released in the next few weeks. If you have more questions, please feel free to email us at info@bike.gatech.edu.
      Sincerely,
      Alec
