ORGT Mountain Biking

May 16, 2011 | 2 Comments

ORGT Mountain Biking is a recreational mountain biking group;

We are a part of Outdoor Recreation at Georgia Tech, a student run organization for outdoor enthusiasts. There are no dues or membership fees. We also offer group rides, instructional schools for all levels, and maintenance classes. If you would like find out where the local trails are or if you are a beginner who wants to start off-road riding we can help you out.

We have informal meetings on Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. at ORGT (located in the back of the CRC). Our meetings are a great place to meet fellow cyclists and find out about local cycling events. They also allow us to work on bikes, give maintenance tips, and discuss trips that went out and plan trips going out. To keep updated with us, follow the directions at and search for “ORGT” to subscribe to our (ORGT-MTB) e-mail list.

We have a wide range of bike related tools in our tool cabinet at the Wilderness Outpost. It is available for use by anyone for the cost of only $3 per day during ORGT’s Wilderness Outpost’s hours (Mon-Thurs 2-7, Fri 2-5).

More information can be found at our website.

    • Hey Jason, I know this is a bit late but we at ORGT don’t check this site as often as I suppose we should.. The answer is yes, a few of our riders are in to longer tours and now that race season is coming up we’ll probably be doing more frequent training trips and the likes. Feel free to drop by ORGT and ask for my number if you have any questions or you can email me directly at stefan.ferg (at) gmail dot com.
